Artist's Comments
OK, this picture is actually Ginourmous. I was trying out a bunch of different coloring techniques here because I have not been happy with my art lately.
This entire picture was colored on one layer, I worked with not even a hint of an outline! I used only one brush type, the hard round brush, at varying opacities, I used pure black on only the pupils and the border. And last, but definately the very hardest for me, I did this very messily, I am normally incredibly meticulous and nitpicky, but I just wanted to do a speedpaint like so many I see, I'm happy with the result. About the actual subject: This is a Beholder from Dungeons and Dragons, They are a subteranean abberation type monster, they are incredably evil and intelligent, and they enjoy turning people and creatures to stone, and using them to decorate their cave the way a human might with taxidermy. The yellow light signifies an adventurer's torchlight, if you couldn't tell. Time taken: 3 hours |

"He that can smile at death, as we know him, who can flourish in the midst of diseases that kill off whole peoples. If such a one was to come from God, and not the Devil, what a force for good might he not be in this world of ours." - Bram Stoker, Dracula
Thankyou again I really appreciate it. ^.^
